How It Started
Like many brides, Priscilla began her wedding dress search by visiting bridal boutiques in her hometown of Darwin. Although she tried on a variety of gowns, none gave her that unforgettable feeling of "this is the one."
She had always dreamed of wearing a truly magical wedding dress and wasn't prepared to settle for anything less.
Her search eventually led her online, where she discovered our KALLITA wedding gown—a long-sleeved design with an intricately beaded lace bodice and a soft tulle A-line skirt. From the moment she saw it, she knew it was the dress she had been searching for.
Priscilla contacted us to learn more about the gown, and during our conversation, we answered all of her questions, making her feel confident about ordering from interstate. As her measurements fell between standard sizes, she requested custom sizing to minimise alterations once the dress arrived in Darwin.
As luck would have it, Priscilla was already planning a trip to Perth to visit family just a few weeks later. This gave us the perfect opportunity to meet her in person and take her professional measurements in-store, ensuring her dream wedding dress would be crafted with the best possible fit from the very beginning.
The Original Dress Design
The KALLITA gown was designed for the bride who loves timeless elegance with a beautifully feminine touch.
It features a plunging V-neckline softened by a sheer illusion overlay, flowing into delicate long lace sleeves for a look that is both modest and romantic. The bodice is adorned with intricately beaded lace appliqués and faux pearls. At the same time, the flattering A-line skirt is finished with cascading lace and a subtle shimmer tulle underlay for an elegant sparkle.
From the back, the gown is just as captivating. An illusion lace back creates the appearance of delicate floral wings, finished with a row of faux pearl buttons for a beautifully refined and memorable finish.
To make the gown truly her own, Priscilla chose to replace the original plunging V-neckline with a classic sweetheart neckline that better suited her personal style.
This simple customisation transformed the design while preserving the elegance of the KALLITA gown, creating a wedding dress that felt uniquely hers. It's a perfect example of how even small design changes can make a gown feel completely personalised.
Priscilla reflected on her wedding dress;
"I particularly love the detailed artistry and delicate beading of the bodice. The whole dress to me is delicate and elegant - a showstopper without being gaudy. I also love the sleeves and again, how delicate and beautiful the artistry is on them."
The Finished Production Video
After months of meticulous craftsmanship, Priscilla's dream wedding dress was finally complete.
From carefully drafting the pattern and cutting each piece of fabric to hand-beading the bodice with shimmering crystals and faux pearls, every stage was completed with precision and care. The result was a gown that beautifully showcased the artistry and attention to detail behind every custom-made wedding dress.
When we shared the final production photos, Priscilla was absolutely amazed. While ordering a wedding dress online can feel daunting, especially for such an important occasion, seeing her dream gown come to life reassured her that trusting the process had been the right decision.
"I was absolutely hesitant about ordering my wedding dress online from just seeing online photos of the dress and not the real dress in person. I made sure to read Google Reviews to make sure it was a real store for starters! Then, I was nervous about the fit of the dress and whether it would arrive in time. But, I loved the dress so much that I was willing to give it a go, and I'm so glad I did. It definitely helped that after making the original purchase, I was able to travel (for separate reasons) to Perth and find the time to pop past the store and meet the owner in person. And although the timing did end up being a bit tight, I still had the dress of my dreams in time to have it hemmed up and ready to go for my big day!"
