The Beginning Of Our Journey
The foundation of our store lies in a family alterations shop, tenderly overseen by a dedicated couple, Tuan and Khanh, for the past thirty years - they're also my parents-in-law.
Our store's roots stem from a family alterations shop- Teekay Fashions, diligently managed by the devoted husband-and-wife team, Tuan and Khanh, over the last three decades—coincidentally, also my parents-in-law.
Following several years of running an online fashion clothing business, I noticed a void in the Perth market for stunning formal dresses that could be tailored to individual design, color, and sizing preferences.
This realization led me to shift my focus away from my fashion venture to concentrate on formal dresses, gradually broadening our offerings to include custom made ball dresses for school balls and bridesmaid dresses.
In 2018, the journey of Envious Bridal & Formal began as renovations kicked off at our North Perth store. Gratefully, I had the invaluable support of family members to assist with the refurbishments, overseeing tasks on-site and managing various aspects of the store.
During this period, I was six months pregnant with my second child, which limited my physical involvement to providing on-site approvals and handling lighter tasks, given the circumstances.
This marked the beginning of our bridal journey, where tales of bespoke and custom-made bridal dreams came to life.
Throughout the years, we've had the honor of meeting numerous remarkable brides, each entrusting us with their unique visions, eager to embody the bride they've always envisioned. It's been a privilege to transform their dreams into reality, crafting custom-made wedding dresses for their special day.

It has always been my mission to ensure that every bride feels truly understood and valued. From there, it's been an exhilarating journey, collaborating with each bride to bring her individual wedding dress vision to life.
Winds Of Change
Nevertheless, as the old adage goes, change is the only constant in life.
I were informed that our current location was set for redevelopment and expansion.
Initially, feelings of surprise and anxiety washed over me. How could we leave behind a place that held so many cherished memories?
Yet, as I embraced the reality of the situation, I recognized it as an opportunity for growth—a chance to re-imagine ourselves in a new setting.
Moving a business, especially one as personal as a bridal store, presents it's own unique set of hurdles. From selecting the ideal location to ensuring a seamless transition for our customers, each stage demanded meticulous planning and thoughtful deliberation.
We navigated logistical obstacles, including relocating inventory and obtaining necessary permits, all while grappling with the emotional weight of bidding farewell to our cherished old space.
