Christine Quinn’s fairy tale with husband Christian Richard may now be over, but her unforgettable black wedding dress from their December 15, 2019 wedding remains iconic. Bold and undeniably stunning, her dress will continue to live on and captivate the internet, inspiring brides to make a bold statement with a black wedding gown.
For their wedding, the couple knew they wanted to create an unforgettable, over-the-top experience.
Christine's wedding dress was no exception.
"Christine knew that she desired something unique and dramatic; she was very enthusiastic about a custom dress that would be totally unique," Galia Lahav revealed.
"Christine described herself as a 'Gothic Barbie,' and our stylist made sure the custom appliqué on the ballgown reflected that style," Galia shared.

"We knew that a gothic English rose look would be a perfect fit for that lace...Christine decided she wanted to add one last pop of drama to her looks, so we decided on an incredible seven-meter-long black veil to make her walk down the aisle feel even more regal!"

Galia was able to add all the special elements usually found on a typical bridal look, including the "sparkle, embellishments, and lace" to complete the bride's look. The ballgown featured a sheer black bustier top with off-the-shoulder straps, shimmering details, and black roses embroidered from the top all the way down through the tulle bottom. Every element of the dress sparkled with detail.
Time stopped when Christine pulled up to the chapel in a black horse-drawn gothic carriage, wearing the most stunning Galia Lahav custom wedding dress with a seven meter long train.
“I had the first black wedding dress(es) the designer has ever made, in addition to the longest train,” Christine says. “For the first and not last time in my life, I felt like a real princess and was ready to live out my fairytale.”

One of our Perth brides, Lisa, worked with us to create her custom-made black wedding dress. Inspired by Christine Quinn's iconic haute couture black wedding gown, Lisa added her own unique touches to make it truly personal.
She chose delicate tulle tie-up arm sleeves for a whimsical twist and opted for a simpler bodice with fewer embroidered lace appliqués, perfectly blending elegance with individuality.
