Real Bride: Chaznay’s Designer Inspired Custom Made Wedding Dress

Bride-to-be, Chaznay had visited and browsed a few bridal stores but after being unsatisfied with not being able to find what she was looking for, she turned to online for inspiration. During her online search, Chaznay found her perfect wedding dress design but she didn’t want to buy online – she wanted to deal with a local based business and that’s how she stumbled upon with a bit of Googling.
Chaznay was delighted to know that we could custom make her wedding dress to be based off the original design she had saved from her online searches.

How It Started
In early January 2022, Chaznay contacted us to inquire about her custom-made wedding dress.
Chaznay said she had visited numerous bridal stores in Perth, but nothing had caught her eye. She had hoped to find a wedding dress that was within her budget and that fit the vision she had in mind.
Chaznay, who worked on a fly-in fly-out schedule, preferred not to spend her limited off work time going from store to store so instead she found her perfect gown through an online bridal designer she came across. She described this wedding dress as her dream dress, with all the elements she envisioned in a design. However, at the price point she had set for herself, this designer's gown was above what she could afford. In addition, she wanted to support the local economy by patronizing a local business rather than shopping online.
The Original Designer Dress
The original dress design was the “June” style by Rime Arodaky.
On the website the dress is described as “A unique two in one gown, with 3D flowers all over the bodice and skirt. June will melt the hearts of your mom and mother-in-law!”
The dress details are “high waist empire gown with low back and cap sleeves. Fitted white crepe skirt with boutonniere. Removable skirt with all over 3D flowers, nude underlining for coverage.

The Fabric
Chaznay was presented with a couple of different options of 3D floral appliques for the bodice and scattered throughout the dress as per the original design. Chaznay fell in love with the 3D lace applique option as pictured below.

- Concealed invisible back zipper with fabric covered buttons
- Detachable tulle skirt with matching lace and 3D floral appliques

Bride's First Fitting
When Chaznay tried on her wedding dress for the first time, she found that it fit almost perfectly. Our in-house tailors only had to make a few very minor alterations to her shoulder straps and hemming the dress length to achieve an absolute impeccable fit. The bride couldn’t have looked beautiful and happy!
