Real Bride: Tiana’s Modern Fairytale Custom Made Wedding Dress
Share
For Tiana, finding the perfect wedding dress meant countless appointments and endless beautiful gowns—but none that truly felt like the one. She knew her wedding dress was a once-in-a-lifetime piece, and she wasn't willing to settle for "almost perfect."
How It Started
Tiana's search for her dream wedding dress began with excitement but soon turned into frustration. After visiting four bridal boutiques in Perth—and even flying interstate in search of more options—she still couldn't find a gown that truly reflected her vision.
For a once-in-a-lifetime dress, "almost perfect" simply wasn't enough.
As Tiana later shared, "I wanted a dress that I was completely in love with and would feel confident in."
Knowing exactly what she wanted, but unable to find it off the rack, Tiana told her mum and friends she wished she could design the dress herself. Her mum suggested a custom-made wedding gown—a way to turn her vision into reality.
Although nervous about committing to a dress she couldn't see finished from the start, Tiana decided to take a leap of faith—and it was the decision that led to her dream wedding gown.
The risk soon turned into reassurance:
"After the first design appointment [at Envious Bridal], I knew I made the right choice as I felt confident in the custom-made process." - Tiana
The Inspirations
Tiana had always imagined exactly what her dream wedding dress would look like. She wanted a gown that reflected her personality and captured the modern fairytale feel she envisioned for her wedding in Greece. Rather than settling for a dress that was "close enough," she chose to create one that was uniquely hers.
Working closely with our team, every detail was thoughtfully designed—from the silhouette and neckline to the fabrics and finishing touches. With each consultation, her vision evolved from an idea into the gown she had always dreamed of.

The Design Details
The Top
For Tiana, lace was the heart of the design.
"I've always loved lace!" she shared.
Unlike many gowns she tried on, she wasn't drawn to heavy beading or sparkle. Instead, she wanted the beauty of delicate Chantilly lace to take centre stage.
Her dream bodice featured a strapless, semi-sheer corset with exposed boning and an elegant basque waistline. Together, these details created a romantic yet contemporary silhouette that beautifully highlighted her figure.
The Skirt
Tiana paired the fitted bodice with a structured A-line skirt designed for both elegance and comfort. A dramatic thigh-high split added movement and confidence, while the sweeping train created the timeless bridal look she loved.
"The A-line bottom with a split came to me as I was trying on dresses—it felt the most flattering and comfortable," she said.
Together, these elements created a gown that was romantic, modern and unmistakably Tiana.
Bringing It Together
The combination of these elements—the statement lace bodice, the basque waistline, the elegant A-line skirt, and the daring split—perfectly captured Tiana's vision. The design reflected her personality: romantic, modern, confident, and uniquely her own.
At her first design consultation, Tiana's enthusiasm was contagious. Sitting alongside her mum, she described every detail of her vision with such excitement that it immediately inspired us. From that moment, we were just as eager as she was to bring her modern fairytale gown to life.
The Fabric
Selecting the right fabrics was just as important as perfecting the design.
After exploring several lace options, Tiana chose a soft Chantilly lace with a delicate floral pattern. Its refined texture perfectly matched the understated elegance she had envisioned.
For the skirt, we selected glass organza—a lightweight fabric that created the structured A-line silhouette while allowing beautiful movement. It also made the perfect choice for Tiana's destination wedding in Greece, keeping the gown light, breathable and comfortable in the Mediterranean climate.
The combination of Chantilly lace and glass organza resulted in a gown that was both breathtaking and practical—designed to look stunning while allowing Tiana to feel comfortable and confident throughout her wedding day.

In Production Photos
Every custom-made wedding dress has a story, and part of that story is found in the craftsmanship behind the scenes. Once Tiana’s design and fabric selections were finalized, our team began the careful process of bringing her vision to life.
From the first cut of lace to the intricate handwork and finishing details, every stage of production requires skill, precision, patience, and care. These behind-the-scenes moments capture not only the technical craftsmanship involved, but also the artistry and dedication that transform carefully selected materials into a gown made uniquely for her.

The Finished Production Photos
After months of thoughtful planning and meticulous craftsmanship, Tiana’s dream wedding dress finally came to life—breathtaking in every detail. The soft Chantilly lace, semi‑sheer corset bodice with exposed boning, romantic basque waistline, and structured A‑line skirt with its daring leg split and sweeping train all came together exactly as she envisioned.
The lace bodice became the gown’s defining feature: delicate yet bold, modern yet timeless. Its semi‑sheer finish created an ethereal softness, while the exposed boning added refined structure. The basque waistline sculpted and elongated her silhouette beautifully, balancing elegance with contemporary flair.
The glass organza skirt brought the entire look to life with effortless movement. Light, airy, and breathable, it offered grandeur without weight—perfect for her destination wedding in Greece.
When Tiana finally stepped into her completed gown, the emotion was unmistakable. This wasn’t just a dress; it was her vision, her personality, and her love story woven into every seam. It reflected her refusal to settle and her confidence in the custom‑made process. The moment she saw herself in it, she knew it was everything she hoped for—and more.

Bride's First Fitting
The first fitting is always a special milestone in creating a custom wedding dress. For Tiana, it was the moment her vision finally took shape on her own body.
Seeing her gown for the first time brought instant excitement. The soft Chantilly lace looked even more beautiful in person than in the pre‑production photos, and the glass organza skirt moved effortlessly with each step. This fitting also allowed us to assess proportions, neckline placement, and how the gown naturally flowed as she walked.
Our tailors carefully pinned and marked areas for refinement, making precise adjustments to achieve that flawless, second‑skin fit. These subtle tweaks are what transform a custom gown from simply beautiful to truly effortless to wear.
Beyond the technical work, the first fitting carries deep emotion. It’s the moment when a bride’s dream becomes real—when sketches and ideas turn into a gown that feels undeniably hers. For Tiana, it was the beginning of her dress vision coming to life.
The Bride's Big Day
On her wedding day in Greece, against the backdrop of sunlit skies and breathtaking scenery, Tiana's gown was nothing short of magical. It was the perfect harmony of romance, elegance, and individuality—a true modern fairytale.

Tiana On Getting A Custom-Made Wedding Dress...
One of the most common—and completely natural—feelings many brides experience during the custom-made dress journey is a sense of anxiety. Unlike purchasing a ready-made gown, a bespoke dress doesn't exist in its final form until the very end. This means brides must place their trust in the process, in the production and the experience of the dressmakers.
Understandably, it can feel daunting not being able to see the completed gown straight away, especially when this is the most important dress they will ever wear. Yet, this leap of faith is also what makes the experience so unique—each fitting reveals another step forward, building anticipation and excitement as the gown slowly transforms into the masterpiece envisioned from the very beginning.
Tiana shares her thoughts on her experience with us.
Were you nervous at all during the production process that your dress wouldn't turn out the way you wanted?
Tiana: Honestly, the dress process was so easy, I wasn't nervous at all, especially with all the updates along the way. If anything, I was so excited for those updates and seeing it all come together.
What's your favourite feature of your custom wedding dress?
Tiana: Definitely the lace corset! The structure of the corset was so flattering and the lace was perfect! Getting my dress custom-made by Envious Bridal was the best decision I made! It was so easy and stress-free, and I'm so glad I just didn't settle on a dress. My dress made me feel beautiful and confident on such a special day.
