How It Started
Lucy had a clear vision of her dream wedding dress from the very beginning. She wanted a gown that reflected her style perfectly, so she dedicated countless hours researching bridal designers, visiting boutiques and exploring online collections.
Despite her efforts, she couldn't find a dress that combined all the features she loved. Every gown came close, but none captured the exact look, fit and details she had envisioned.
Rather than settling, Lucy chose to create her dream dress instead.
She contacted Envious Bridal & Formal to explore a custom-made wedding gown, and together we transformed her ideas into a bespoke design. Through detailed consultations, every element—from the silhouette and neckline to the fabrics and finishing details—was thoughtfully tailored to create a gown that was uniquely hers.
The Inspirations
Lucy's vision was a timeless minimalist wedding dress that balanced understated elegance with a subtle touch of modern allure. Rather than drawing inspiration from a single gown, she combined her favourite elements from two different designs to create something completely unique.
The Bodice
Lucy fell in love with the beautifully draped bodice of the Jane Hill "Bobbie" gown. She was particularly drawn to its softly draped semi-sweetheart neckline and relaxed off-the-shoulder sleeves, which created a romantic yet contemporary silhouette.

The Skirt
To complement the bodice, Lucy chose a modern wrap-style skirt featuring a thigh-high split. The clean lines of the skirt paired beautifully with the minimalist bodice, creating a look that was elegant, contemporary and effortlessly sophisticated.
By combining the elements she loved from two different gowns, Lucy was able to create a bespoke wedding dress that reflected her personal style perfectly—something she simply couldn't find off the rack.

The Fabric
To achieve Lucy's vision of timeless, understated elegance, we selected a luxurious matte crepe fabric. Loved for its soft drape, smooth finish and beautiful structure, crepe creates a clean, sophisticated silhouette while remaining lightweight and comfortable to wear throughout the day.

In Production Photos
Every custom-made wedding dress begins with careful planning before the first piece of fabric is cut.
After finalizing Lucy's design details and selecting her fabrics, our dressmakers began creating the gown, starting with a mock-up to refine the silhouette and fit. Throughout the production process, we shared progress photos with Lucy, allowing her to follow the journey as her dream wedding dress was handcrafted from concept to completion.
