Real Bride: Chaznay - When the Designer Wedding Gown Was Out of Reach

She found the designer wedding dress she loved—but instead of paying the designer price tag, Chaznay chose to have her dream gown custom-made locally in Perth.
Designer-inspired wedding gown—without the designer price tag.
There are many reasons to consider a custom-made wedding dress, from achieving the perfect fit to creating a gown that reflects your individual style. With a custom gown, every element can be thoughtfully tailored to you—from the silhouette and design details to the fabrics, embellishments, and finishing touches.
But perhaps one of the most special things about having a wedding dress custom-made is knowing that it is truly one of a kind. No other bride will walk down the aisle wearing the same gown. Your dress is created specifically for you, making it as unique as your own love story.
For bride-to-be Chaznay, her search for the perfect wedding dress began at local bridal stores. After browsing several boutiques and struggling to find a gown that matched the vision she had in mind, she turned to the internet for inspiration.
It was during her online search that Chaznay discovered a designer wedding gown she instantly fell in love with. She had found the design she wanted—but rather than purchasing a gown online, she wanted to work with a local Australian business that could bring her vision to life.
After a little more Google searching, Chaznay discovered us and was delighted to learn that Envious Bridal & Formal could custom-make her wedding dress based on the original designer gown that had inspired her.
And so began the journey of transforming her designer-inspired dream into a custom-made wedding gown created especially for her.
Join us as we take you behind the scenes of Chaznay’s custom wedding dress journey—from her original inspiration to the finished gown.
How It Started
Chaznay contacted us to enquire about having her wedding dress custom-made.
Before finding us, Chaznay had visited numerous bridal stores across Perth, hoping to find a gown that suited both her budget and the vision she had for her wedding day. Unfortunately, nothing had quite captured her attention or felt like the dress she had been imagining.
Working a fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) schedule, Chaznay also had limited time at home and didn’t want to spend her time off travelling from one bridal store to another. Instead, she turned to the internet in search of inspiration—and that’s where she discovered the gown that she described as her dream dress.
The designer gown had everything she had envisioned, from the overall silhouette to the finer design details. There was just one problem: the price was well beyond the budget she had set for her wedding dress.
Chaznay also preferred to work with a local business rather than purchase her gown online. She wanted the experience of dealing with someone locally while supporting a Perth business.
When she discovered that we could custom-make a gown inspired by the design she had fallen in love with, she had found a way to bring her dream dress to life while making it her own.
The Original Designer Dress
The original dress design was the “June” style by Rime Arodaky.
On the website, the dress is described as “A unique two-in-one gown, with 3D flowers all over the bodice and skirt. June will melt the hearts of your mom and mother-in-law!”
The dress details are “high waist empire gown with low back and cap sleeves. Fitted white crepe skirt with boutonniere. Removable skirt with all-over 3D flowers, nude underlining for coverage.

The Fabric
Chaznay was presented with several options of 3D floral appliqués to recreate the delicate floral detailing across the bodice and skirt, inspired by the original design. After considering the different options, she fell in love with the beautiful 3D lace appliqué pictured below, which became the perfect choice for her custom gown.

The Bride's Feedback
Highly recommend!
I tried on so many wedding dresses and couldn’t find the one… So I put my trust in Yen (the owner) and her team to replicate a wedding dress. With only a few hiccups (out of their control) the outcome of the dress was still everything I wanted and more. I absolutely love my wedding dress and couldn’t be more happier with it! The process was super easy too. :)
